First sail for the MOD70 Race for Water: look at the pictures!

Première sortie en mer pour Race for Water au large de Groix 05.04.11
The MOD70 Race for Water has sailed for the first time off Lorient yesterday afternoon in great conditions. Discover the first pictures of her maiden voyage on our website.

We have sailed for several hours yesterday in a nice breeze, between 6 and 12 knots. A first sea trial that has enabled us to test the reliability of the concept, to test a first set of sails and to enjoy the sailing on our new machine. The helm balance is excellent. 24 knots on one float… the first surfing sensations… it’s really exciting! ”, explains Stève Ravussin, Race for Water skipper.

For this first sea trial, Stève was surrounded by his team and by the members of the Multi One Design technical team, by Jean-Marc Normand, Jacques Guichard and Yann Regniau from North Sails, by members of the shipyard CDK and by Vincent Lauriot Prevost (VPLP).  Ten days after its christening, Race for Water is ready to sail the oceans and take part in the MOD70 circuit to deliver her message, the importance of the preservation of water, the essential resource of our planet!
